History
From a multidisciplinary laboratory to a cutting-edge research center
A Centre created to share and optimise human, technical, instrumental and economic resources available for applied biomedical research activities
Back in 2001, an important agreement was signed between Policlinico di Sant'Orsola-Malpighi (now IRCCS - Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Bologna) and University of Bologna, to establish the Centre for Applied Biomedical Research (CRBA) in Bologna.
Here, between the porticoes and towers, this multidisciplinary laboratory dedicated to applied clinical research has been expanding over the years, with the collaboration of University Departments including DIMEC, DIBINEM, QUVI andFaBiT, supporting researchers and investing in acquiring novel technologies.
Since January 2018, the direction of our Centre has been appointed to the University of Bologna - the oldest university in the Western world.
CRBA was certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standards, in March 2021, .
