The CoastPredict and Decade Collaborative Centre for Coastal Resilience Meeting took place in Lecce, Italy, from February 3 to 7, 2025.

The program included the DCC-CR Annual Programme Committee Meeting (invite-only), the CoastPredict General Assembly, and the Flame Future Coastal Ocean Climates Workshop. A key moment of the event was the ECOP-focused workshop"Empowering Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOPs) for Coastal Resilience in the Face of Climate Change." The ECOP workshop highlighted the role of Early Career Ocean Professionals in shaping the future of coastal resilience, offering opportunities to network, share insights, and collaborate with global experts.

As part of the DCC-CR and CoastPredict annual meeting in Lecce, our Director Nadia Pinardi joined Rai Radio3 Scienza to discuss the unique nature of coastal environments—dynamic interfaces between land and sea that have only recently become the focus of scientific research. She highlighted the importance of integrating observational data with predictive models to address the challenges of coastal resilience.
