After a delightful evening at CoastPredict's Social Dinner at the prestigious Torre del Parco, the 3rd day's agenda included engaging sessions and valuable knowledge-sharing opportunities.

The day began with the CoastPredict and DCC-CR Training chaired by Villy Kourafalou. Key sessions included:
COMPASS Philippines: Coastal Observing and Modeling for Prediction and Assessment to Support Resilient Systems by Francesco Trotta (CMCC Foundation – Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change) and Aletta Yñiguez (Marine Science Institute, University of the Philippines Diliman).
DCC-CR Coastal Resilience School by Nadia Pinardi (CoastPredict Chair, Director - DCC-CR).
CMCC Future Earth Research School: Building a Multidisciplinary Community of Young Researchers by Giulia Galluccio (CMCC Foundation).

Following the training, Breakout Sessions explored how proposed solutions can be applied at GlobalCoast pilot sites. Topics ranged from future coastal ocean climates to early warning systems and restoring coastal ecosystems.

The afternoon featured the GlobalCoast Assembly, chaired by Nadia Pinardi. It included discussions on governance and collaboration and pilot site presentations from countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, Ghana, and others.

The day concluded with a highly insightful visit to the CMCC High-Performance Computing Center, which allowed participants to examine the technological infrastructure supporting coastal resilience research in greater depth.

Stay tuned for more updates as we advance collaborative efforts for a more resilient coastal future.
