The Decade Collaborative Center for Coastal Resilience (DCC-CR) is thrilled to announce its participation in the ECOMONDO Exhibition, taking place in Rimini from November 5th to 8th, 2024. Under the theme "The Power of Science for Coastal Communities: Better Informed, Better Prepared," the DCC-CR will be hosting a series of keynote speech, talks and roundtable discussions throughout the event.
Each day is organized around a specific theme:
Every day will feature keynote speeches from leading experts in academia, governmental institutions, and international and national organizations engaged in coastal resilience. These will be followed by thematic discussions and Q&A sessions.
Sponsored by Regione Emilia Romagna and the University of Bologna, these sessions will focus on the critical challenges and necessary actions to strengthen coastal resilience. Coastal resilience—the capacity of communities, ecosystems, and infrastructure to adapt and recover from hazards like storms, flooding, and rising sea levels—is a key issue. How far have we come in building resilient coastal communities? What actions are being taken both regionally and internationally? And how can we prepare future generations to meet these challenges?
Join us at ECOMONDO 2024 as we explore these questions and work together with stakeholders to develop impactful solutions.
All events will be available online via this Zoom link.
