The national assembly of the Democratic Party held in Rome on 12th March 2023 elected Elly Shlein party secretary. The assembly was attended by 600 delegates divided into two groups: 53.75% supporting the motion of Schlein and 46.25% that of Bonaccini. During the assembly, 138 interviews with elected national delegates were collected.
