The national assembly of the Democratic Party held in Rome on 17th May 2019 elected Nicola Zingaretti party secretary. The assembly was attended by 1000 delegates divided into three groups: 119 supporting the motion of Roberto Giachetti (12%), 228 that of Maurizio Martina (23%) and 653 that of Nicola Zingaretti (65%). During the assembly, 232 interviews with elected national delegates were collected.
