During the 2025 European Climate Change Adaptation (ECCA) Conference in Rimini, Federica Orsi (Senior Communication Officer) and Edwin Espina (Research Fellow) from the DCC-CR were interviewed by Alter!, the forward-looking trends blog on climate change powered by the EU-funded MAIA Project.
In the conversation, they highlighted how the Decade Collaborative Centre for Coastal Resilience partners with innovative projects to connect science with stakeholder needs, focusing on digital tools that transform data into actionable knowledge and on training decision-makers, industry, and youth to strengthen coastal resilience.
The interview also included a deep dive into the real threats coastal areas face due to climate change, and how the Centre works on adaptation on the ground, tackling these challenges through concrete actions. This work is carried out in close collaboration with partners such as the Rimini Blue Lab, ensuring that science and data are effectively incorporated into local resilience strategies.
