Green Tides is a science podcast dedicated to coastal resilience, climate change, and the future of the world’s coasts.
Across five episodes, the series explores the science, people, and ideas shaping more resilient coastal futures. Through conversations with researchers, practitioners, and experts, Green Tides examines how sea-level rise, stronger storms, coastal erosion, pollution, and other environmental pressures are transforming coastal areas around the world, and how communities are responding to these challenges.
The podcast covers a range of topics, from ocean literacy and the Digital Twin of the Ocean to island communities, environmental justice, and co-designed solutions for adaptation and resilience. By combining scientific knowledge with real-world experiences, each episode aims to make complex ocean and coastal science accessible to a wider audience.
At its core, Green Tides highlights the importance of understanding change in coastal environments and fostering informed responses to the challenges facing coastal communities. Protecting the coast does not mean preserving it unchanged; it means strengthening resilience and learning how to live with the ocean in a more sustainable and responsible way.
Green Tides is a podcast by the Decade Collaborative Centre for Coastal Resilience (DCC-CR), produced by Podstar.
