The exhibition presents an overview of the Romagna Fashion District through archival materials, iconic garments and immersive digital installations. Hosted at Palazzi dell'Arte Rimini, the exhibition reveals the cultural and creative heritage preserved in company archives, usually inaccessible to the public, tracing the evolution of local fashion from artisanal origins to international prêt-à-porter.
The exhibition begins with a tribute to Rimini and the Riviera in the 1950s and 1960s, when fashion shows, beauty contests and editorial photography contributed to establishing the area as a site of experimentation and circulation of trends. Immersive installations connect historical documents with contemporary design. Interactive experiences include a virtual try-on that allows visitors to create a photorealistic avatar wearing selected garments, as well as a 3D environment inspired by 8½ by Federico Fellini, where footwear models from the San Mauro Pascoli district activate AI-generated visual worlds. The exhibition highlights the creative trajectories of companies such as Aeffe Group (Alberta Ferretti, Moschino) and Gilmar Group (Iceberg), alongside iconic footwear brands including Baldinini, Casadei, Gianvito Rossi, Pollini, Sergio Rossi and Giuseppe Zanotti.
