Data for Ocean Decade, in collaboration with EUMETSAT, Copernicus Marine Service, EMODnet, the ECOP Programme, and the UN Ocean Decade Coordination Office for Ocean Data Sharing, continues its webinar series on ocean data and sustainability. This ongoing initiative, which began in 2024, explores how European data platforms and technologies contribute to achieving the goals of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.

The third session, scheduled for January 15, 2025, will focus on leveraging Earth observation data, in situ measurements, advanced models, and digital twins for sustainable ocean management. Participants will gain insights into the practical use of these data sources and engage in discussions that support a user-driven approach to marine data.

The DCC for Coastal Resilience is proud to support this initiative through the active participation of its Director, Professor Nadia Pinardi, who will bring her expertise to the discussions. Her contribution underscores the DCC's commitment to fostering actionable knowledge and sustainable practices in line with the Decade Challenges.
