Professor Nadia Pinardi, Director of the DCC for Coastal Resilience, has taken part in the 33rd session of the IOC Assembly, held from 25 June to 3 July 2025 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
The IOC Assembly brings together Member States and partners every two years to assess progress and define priorities for the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission and its global community.
As part of the Assembly, CoastPredict, a UN Ocean Decade and GOOS Programme adn DCC-CR key Partner, is co-hosting a joint side event to showcase its work on integrated coastal ocean observing and forecasting systems. These tools are essential to support risk management, adaptation, and long-term coastal resilience in vulnerable regions.
The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership is also presenting its strategic directions and funding initiatives, aiming to enhance coastal resilience through knowledge-based and cooperative approaches.
