The second day of the workshop “Resilient Shores: Coastal Futures Through Natural, Artificial, and Collective Intelligence”, part of the GENS Public Programme of the Biennale Architettura 2025 in Venice, built on the strong momentum of Day 1 — turning shared visions into tangible action.

A key focus of today’s discussions was the CREW project, submitted by DCC-CR. Participants explored concrete steps to expand its scope and identify immediate actions to strengthen its implementation and impact. One of the Center’s core missions is to support and empower the global network of Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOPs), investing in those who will lead the scientific and operational efforts of tomorrow. Their involvement is crucial to ensuring that coastal resilience strategies are both innovative and enduring.
The project will now benefit from the strategic support of DCO Connecting People with the Ocean and CMCC — two partners whose commitment and expertise are invaluable. By leveraging complementary expertise, we can achieve greater scientific impact and operational effectiveness!
The workshop has been a true success, fostering dialogue, new partnerships, and actionable pathways for research and innovation. It has also given our activities an added impetus, reinforcing our role as a catalyst for collaboration and capacity-building in coastal resilience.
