Edgard Cabrera represents DCC-CR at Sea’ties workshop in the Caribbean

Edgard Cabrera represented the Decade Collaborative Centre for Coastal Resilience (DCC-CR) at the Sea’ties workshop, Adapting coastal cities and territories to sea level rise in the Caribbean, held in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, from 23 to 25 October 2024. The event was organised by the Ocean & Climate Platform’s Sea’ties initiative, in partnership with the French Office for Biodiversity, Fondation de France, and Coastal Quest. It brought together regional and international experts, institutions, and stakeholders to advance shared strategies for coastal adaptation in the Caribbean.

Cabrera facilitated Session 3, Guiding adaptation policies with locally relevant and timely knowledge, held on 23 October. The session highlighted the crucial role of actionable, context-specific scientific information in shaping effective local adaptation policies in response to sea level rise.
