Today marks the conclusion of an extraordinary week in Lecce, where 130 participants from over 30 countries across all five continents gathered to advance global coastal resilience. This event has provided valuable insights, strategic advancements, and new collaborations, equipping researchers and practitioners with critical knowledge to enhance their work.
Over the past five days, the conference featured: - The ratification of the DCC-CR Partners Alliance Network, strengthening international cooperation. - The CoastPredict General Assembly, shaping the future of global coastal observing and forecasting. - Training programs, including the DCC-CR Coastal Resilience School and ECOP workshops, fostering the next generation of experts. - In-depth discussions on coastal hazard early warning systems, predictive modeling, and ecosystem-based adaptation.
