The author
Paolo Campana, born in Bologna in 1965, has lived in Faenza since 1971. Son of Lindoro, a “wandering linotypist”, he has been working in the printing world for thirty-five years. A lover of local history and archeology, he oversaw the transcription of a manuscript of Camaldolese chronicles from which he later drew the volume The ancient abbey of Saints Ippolito and Lorenzo in Faenza (Tip. Faentina Editrice, Faenza). He is the author of the tourist guide Pyrenees (Calderini, Bologna) and co-author of Zavagliando (Bottega Bertaccini, Faenza), a vocabulary of commonly used words derived from the Italianization of dialectal terms from Faenza.
