Last webinar for this edition of the project, after which is planned a hybrid event in Rimini in June that will be broadcasted online

CAST will continue to organize additional online meetings and events in the future to maintain the network activity and to continue to discuss responsible tourism development, existing and new tourism projects and initiatives together with the NEST network members.

There are two presentations this time: 

  • Accessible tourism: The Rock Carvings in Valle Camonica - the first accessible UNESCO heritage site in Italy - Maria Paola Pasini (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore - UNICATT)
  • True Business Sustainability (TBS): from an inside-out to an ouside-in perspective for managing tourism projects - Mariangela Franch (Università degli Studi di Trento - UNITN)

Network of Education on Sustainable Tourism (NEST) is a capacity building project developed by the Centre for Advanced Studies in Tourism (CAST) of the University of Bologna, in collaboration with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). This year, project activities will be developed in collaboration with SUSTEEMS PhD programme and Department of Economics of the University of Trento. The project aims at improving skills in the field of sustainable tourism development of the public and private sector operators from 13 developing countries in Latin America, Africa, the Mediterranean and Asia.
