Applying Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education - Fall Edition A.Y. 2026/2027

In the autumn, the CTL will continue its commitment and provide training about the use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching. Both cross-disciplinary initiatives and training activities tailored to specific disciplinary areas will be organised. 

More specifically, two special editions will be organized:
•    one will take place in Rimini, in order to meet requests received from the Romagna Campuses;
•    a second edition, entirely delivered in English, will be held in Bologna.

The self-training programme on the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in education is designed as a tool for guiding   instructors interested in exploring, in a conscious and non-prescriptive way, the potential of AI. During the programme, all the stages of the teaching process will be explored: course design, delivery of learning activities, and assessment.
This programme aims at supporting a more reflective, active, and student-centred approach to teaching, in line with the University's educational policies, the Dublin Descriptors, and the principles of the AVA quality assurance system.
In order to achieve this goal a reference framework, practical examples, and operational suggestions adaptable to different teaching contexts will be taken into account.

The programme is structured as follows:
•    an introductory webinar providing with a general overview;
•    three in-person workshops;
•    a final webinar.

The workshops will be coordinated by colleagues from the CTL Artificial Intelligence Working Group, who will act as facilitators within a peer-learning and collaborative framework.

Organizational details:

Registration will take place through the “Iscrizione eventi ” website beginning the 8th of September 2026.
Faculty members eligible for the training activities will receive a dedicated email invitation.

The schedules for some macro-areas are still being finalized. As soon as they are available, they will be shared with the relevant faculty members.

In order to have the training formally recognized in their professional development record, participants are required to attend the introductory webinar and at least two of the three workshops.
