Virtual prototyping and experimental modeling of mechanical systems (UO5)

The objectives of the laboratory include:

• Experimental characterization of the vibro-acoustic behaviour of mechanisms and machine components

• Experimental vibration analysis and experimental modal analysis

• Monitoring and diagnostics of mechanical components

• Characterization of the mechanical properties of technologically relevant materials

The reference industrial value chain is Advanced Mechanics, and the following industrial sectors are identified as the main areas of application:

• Transport systems (automotive, motorcycling, railway, aerospace, and naval sectors)

• Automatic machinery, robotics, and the packaging industry

• Machine tools
