Prof. Benito Rial Costas visiting scholar at the University of Bologna

Benito Rial Costas, Profesor Asociado at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, will be a guest of the University of Bologna as a visiting scholar from 1st February to 5th March 2022. Professor Rial Costas' research interests range from book culture and media, to historiographical and bibliographic research, to the Digital humanities and to the history of typography. His publications mainly concern Material bibliography, the Cociology of texts and cultural and literary history. His latest works include "Aldo Manuzio en la España del Renacimiento" (2019) and the monographic issue of the journal «Quaerendo. A Journal Devoted to Manuscripts and Printed Books » "New insights into an old issue: Book historical scholarship on the relationship between the Low Countries and Spain (1568-1648)" (2018). During his stay in Bologna, Professor Rial Costas will deal in particular with the Incunabula collection of the Royal Spanish College.
