Head of CAST

Associate professor of Business Organization at the Department of Management, University of Bologna.

His main research topics in tourism concern organizational change (also related to IT innovation), generational transition, people management in tourism enterprises, employment of people with intellectual disabilities, cooperation and coordination in tourism destinations.

He has coordinated local research units in European projects aimed at the tourism enhancement of cultural heritage and the application of behavioral tools, particularly nudges, to limit phenomena of overtourism and promote tourism sustainability. He has also participated in numerous national and international research projects.

He was Director of the Continuing Education Course in Hotel and Tourism Management and currently teaches organization and people management in master's and professionalizing courses in tourism.  

He is scientific referent of INT.TUR - Technological Innovation in Tourism Services, an articulation of CAST dedicated to technology transfer. He is CAST delegate at the Clust-ER Tourism of the Emilia-Romagna Region and delegate of the University of Bologna in the Steering Committee of the ITS Tourism and Wellness Foundation.
