What role does collective memory play in Russian-Ukrainian war? Is this war also a “memory war”? How do personal traumatic memories of war merge in (and are shaped by) collective frames of memory?

We discuss about these (and other) issues with two guests from Ukraine:

  • Svitlana Shlipchenko, architect, professor at National University of "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and director of the Center of Urban Studies, Kyiv, that will talk of Practices of commemoration and representations of memory in public spaces of Ukrainian cities
  • Alla Petrenko-Lysak, PhD in Sociology, cultural anthropologist, professor at the Sociology Department of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, that will talk of The image of “Home" in war visualizations.
