A CONNECT Inter-Campus Roundtable
Date: 05 MAY 2026 from 17:00 to 18:30
Event location: Aula Poeti, Palazzo Hercolani, Strada Maggiore 45, Bologna
Type: CONNECT outreach
Is the liberal international order unraveling — or merely transforming? Amid geopolitical rivalry, democratic backsliding, and mounting global fragmentation, scholars and policymakers are reassessing the resilience and future trajectory of the order that has shaped global politics for decades. This CONNECT Inter-Campus Roundtable brings together leading scholars — Tanja Börzel, Erik Jones, Sonia Lucarelli, and Thomas Risse — to debate whether the liberal international order is in terminal decline, undergoing adaptation, or entering a new phase altogether.
Part of our new Inter-Campus Roundtables format, this event is paired with a second discussion in Forlì, creating a cross-campus dialogue on the future of democracy and global governance.
Join us for what promises to be a timely and thought-provoking conversation.
