To achieve its mission, CONNECT supports five key series of events:
- CONNECT Lectures: Held quarterly, these formal lectures are open to the entire academic community and the public. Delivered by leading scholars, the lectures address the major challenges shaping the 21st century.
- CONNECT Seminars: Monthly seminars create a collaborative and dynamic space where Center members and visiting scholars share their ongoing research. These sessions foster synergies and dialogue among researchers.
- CONNECT Learning: High-level training programs, including winter and summer schools and specialized seminars, aimed at enhancing the Department’s PhD program in Political and Social Sciences
- CONNECT Outreach: ranging from digital platforms to public debates and roundtables, these events are designed to engage the broader community in discussions on the transnational dimensions of political and social challenges, often linked to current affairs.
Furthermore, the research center also engages in creating networks with international scholars worldwide through a Visiting Scholar and International Collaboration Program. With the support of the Department of Political and Social Sciences, CONNECT provides a platform for hosting visiting scholars and professors, facilitating research on the transnational dimension of political and social phenomena. It serves as a hub for initiating and strengthening international research collaborations.
The CONNECT research center is part of the SPS Department initiatives conceived and funded by the Dipartimento di Eccellenza 2023-2027 programme of the Italian Ministry of Research and University.
