Ecology, Conservation, Recovery of Coastal and See Environment (MARECOL)
Our goal is to increase and disseminate the scientific and technological knowledge necessary to understand and guide conservation actions on marine habitats and biodiversity in order to halt their loss.
The laboratory is equipped for the analysis of the structure of benthic and algal communities and meio- and macro-fauna, in their different aspects: abundance and species composition, biomass, size spectra etc. It performs taxonomy of macroalgae, polychaetes, amphipods, harpacticoid copepods and terrestrial and freshwater invertebrates. It is also equipped for conducting field surveys both in freshwater and in lagoon environment.

Il CIRSA ha ottenuto un finanziamento sul Bando di Progetto finanziato dal Po FEAMP 2014/2020 FLAG Costa dell'Emilia-Romagna per la “Caratterizzazione dell’area di foce del Torrente Bevano e individuazione delle strategie di conservazione e valorizzazione delle aree di nursery per specie protette e d’interesse commerciale”. L'area di interesse comprende la Foce del Torrente Bevano, già zona SIC/ZPS (IT4070009) per la porzione terrestre e fino a 300 m dalla linea di costa.
