NEST - Network of Education on Sustainable Tourism

The Autumn and Spring Schools, organized by CAST and Ce.U.B (Centro Universitario di Bertinoro), offer a high-level training in sustainable tourism and will create a network between participiants and experts of the field.

The Schools were funded and organized by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and the Univerisity of Bologna.

The Autumn School counted 25 tourism experts, high and medium level public officials, managers, entrepreneurs and university professors coming from some European countries (Albania, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Tunisia).

The Spring School counted 28 tourism experts, high and medium level public officials, managers, entrepreneurs and university professors coming from Bolivia, Cuba, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Myanmar and Senegal.

The two Schools were held in English by professors from the University of Bologna, from CAST and by national and internaional experts. The training course methodology was based on: classes, workshops, self-study, project works, meetings with public and private Tourism representatives
