Discover Europe with YEAs

An informal atmosphere, plenty of curiosity, and a strong desire for exchange marked the first Eurospritz of the year, organized by the Centro Interdipartimentale Punto Europa of Forlì (CESIPE) with the valuable support of the Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) network. The event was designed to foster exchange among Erasmus students who had just arrived in Forlì for their semester abroad.

On 25 February 2026, at Bar Volume on the Forlì Campus, a Europe-themed aperitivo was held for international students, aimed at introducing them to the opportunities offered by the European Union and encouraging intercultural exchange.

The initiative, held in English from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, brought together more than thirty participants from a range of countries. The event was coordinated by Junior Experts (in particular Eleonora Rodilosso, Gaia Pascucci, Marianna Freni, and Tecla Cantatore) with support from Valerio Di Pietro, Giulia Miccoli, and Kateryna Katyla, members of the YEAs network.

After an initial welcome and introduction to Punto Europa, which sparked great curiosity among attendees, the international students took part in an opening ice-breaking activity coordinated by the YEAs. Valerio, Giulia, and Kateryna divided participants into small groups, encouraging them to identify what all group members had in common. Students then moved to four themed tables: Travel Experiences, Italian Culture, Erasmus+, and Forlì is Not Bologna. Discussions unfolded spontaneously and with active participation, with contributions from students coming from countries including Spain, New Zealand, the United States, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine.

The activity was a success, with participant engagement remaining high throughout the event. By the end of the evening, many students stayed on to keep talking, expressing interest in CESIPE and its initiatives.

Throughout the event, participants showed particular interest in European opportunities for young people, including traineeships at EU institutions and the European Solidarity Corps.

The initiative wrapped up in an informal, convivial atmosphere: many students stayed behind to continue the conversation and learn more about CESIPE's activities, showing how gatherings of this kind can serve as an important opportunity for information-sharing, participation, and international exchange.
