The "Umberto Eco" International Centre for Humanistic Studies of the Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna fosters the internationalization and interdisciplinary focus of both scientific research and doctoral teaching at the University of Bologna, offering Visiting Professor and Visiting Scholars positions
Research collaboration and cooperation agreements
In 2020, the University of Bologna signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Mokichi Okada Foundation. This led to the founding of the Mokichi Okada Chair on Beauty, hosted by the Umberto Eco International Centre for the Humanities, with the collaboration of the University of Bologna's Department of the Arts.
In April 2021, the CUE signed a cooperation agreement with the School of Humanities of Tallinn University, with the aim of fostering international research and exchange collaborations. Tallinn University hosts research groups active in the field of semiotics of culture and is part of the 'Lotman Repository' project. Contact persons: Prof. Marek Tamm and Prof. Daniele Monticelli.
