This research cluster focuses on examining the historical trajectories and evolving dynamics of development under changing global influences. It explores how transnational forces such as international institutions, global economic shifts, and new models of governance shape development strategies in different regions of the world. By investigating the role of state and non-state actors - such as international organizations, NGOs, and transgovernmental networks of experts - this cluster aims to uncover how global cooperation, economic partnerships, and regional interactions influence development outcomes, including health outcomes, particularly in the Global South.
