This research cluster examines how diverse actors navigate geopolitical and security challenges and interpret, enact, and shape strategies of conflict management and resolution in an increasingly unstable and multipolar world order. It focuses on how state actors, international organizations, and grassroots movements adapt to and respond to conflict in regions ranging from Eastern Europe to Latin America. Using historical and contemporary perspectives, theoretical frameworks from political theory and international relations are applied to understand the agency of local and national actors in shaping conflict resolution strategies and peacebuilding.
