Study of Transitional Environments Based on Phytoplankton and its Characteristics

Scientific training for Master Degree students in Marine Biology (Pilot area 2 – CASCADE project)

  • Date: 03 NOVEMBER 2022  from 9:00 to 17:00

  • Event location: Sampling area #1: “Spiaggia Romea” village. Sampling area #2: Lido di Volano pier

  • Type: Scientific Training

The event consists in a scientific training, aimed at students of the Master's Degree in Marine Biology, who will perform the sampling activities usually carried out for the study of the ecological status of the environment, based on the phytoplankton indicator.
These activities are also carried out within the Italy-Croatia CASCADE project by the CIRSA-UNIBO group that deals with the characterization of the transition environments of Emilia-Romagna. The field work will be followed by laboratory analysis and the results obtained will allow to make comparisons between a brackish environment and a coastal marine one.
