2026 GBIF Graduate Researchers Award call for nominations
Deadline for Italy: May 15, 2026. The Italian node will select the two best proposals to be submitted to GBIF for evaluation. To participate, send the documents, in English, to diego.fontaneto@cnr.it.
Lorenzo Mentaschi has been recognized in the Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers list for 2024 and 2025, in the Cross-Field category.
He has published high-impact studies on high-resolution climate modeling, statistical analysis of extremes, and coastal and multi-hazard risk mapping. His work, developed in collaboration with EC-JRC and CMCC, has provided scientific support for European climate adaptation policies.
