AlmaQ combines the complementary and multidisciplinary expertise present at UniBO in the area of Quantum Sciences and Technologies (QST) to support joint project efforts, attracting external funding and coordinating with the innovation ecosystem at both regional and national scales.
More specifically, we aim at:
- Promoting inter-departmental academic collaborations on the fronts of research, training, and public engagement
- Stimulating joint planning for national and/or international projects
- Enhancing the University's collaboration with research institutions and corporate entities active QST
- Promoting projects aimed at technology transfer to entities operating in QST
- Developing communication and awareness activities on the potential and impact of QST towards a wide and diverse target audience.
To become a point of reference within the University and at the national level, the Centre will take actions towards:
- The elaboration of national and international projects in the STQ field that maximize interdisciplinary synergies among the afferent Departments;
- The promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration with other structures of Unibo and Institutions at the regional, national, and international level
- Realization of technology transfer projects in collaboration with companies in the sector, not only in the local and national reality, but also with international partners
- Training initiatives on the different pillars of STQ aimed at students and young researchers
- Organization of initiatives that promote the activities, role, and visibility of the Center addressed both to professionals in the field and to the public and society
