First session of the senior seminar ‘An intricate history: the Chronicon quadripartitum’, organized by Prof. Eva Schlotheuber (Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf) and visiting professor at MemoryLab.
This first seminar will introduce the manuscript transmission of the Chronicon quadripartitum and the templates which it relies on, namely foremost the chronicle of the dominican friar and papal poenitentiarius Martin of Troppau, († 1278 in Bologna), and for the bishops the Gesta Treverorum, singling out the independent paragraphs of the Chronicon quadripartitum that possibly were produced in Trier.
The seminar will be held from 4 p.m. in the Aula Gambi (Department of History and Cultures, Piazza San Giovanni in Monte 2).
