The Senior Seminar, organized in four sessions of two hours each to be held from Nov. 12-15, 2024 from 5-7 p.m., will present an introduction to general and comparative manuscript studies while discussing the role of manuscripts in informing and mediating memory. The lectures are based on Prof. Friedrich's experience at the Center for the Study of Manuscript Cultures (CSMC) at the University of Hamburg and will present a personal synthesis of his research.
