Departmental Centre of Latin American Studies
The Centre of Latin American Studies was established in 2013 from the academic and research experience in Comparative Public Law and History of Latin America at the Department of Political and Social Science of the University of Bologna. The Centre intends to highlight the cultural background of certain fields and academic disciplines covered by the Department and to promote their interdisciplinarity and internationalization. The Centre promotes and coordinates studies and research in the fields of Latin American history, politics, sociology, anthropology, law, language and culture. It holds events, conferences, seminars, conventions, congresses and edits the relevant scientific publications. It facilitates mobility exchanges of professors and students with Latin American countries and promotes postgraduate training activities, also in collaboration with associations, universities and research bodies in Italy and abroad.
