On 8 June 2026, coinciding with World Oceans Day, the Decade Collaborative Centre for Coastal Resilience officially launched its new podcast series, Green Tides: Resilience Conversations, a new podcast series dedicated to coastal resilience, climate change, and the future of the world’s coasts.
The series will unfold over five episodes, exploring how rising sea levels, intensifying storms, coastal erosion, pollution, and other environmental pressures are reshaping coastal environments and communities around the globe. Through conversations, stories, and scientific insights, the podcast aims to make complex ocean and coastal science accessible to a broad audience while highlighting the people, projects, and ideas working towards more resilient coastal futures.
The first episode is now available, and new episodes will be released every Monday, creating a regular opportunity to engage with topics at the intersection of science, society, and coastal resilience. Future episodes will address themes including ocean literacy, the Digital Twin of the Ocean, island communities, environmental justice, and co-designed solutions for adaptation and sustainability.
Produced by the DCC-CR, Green Tides: Resilience Conversations represents a new component of the Centre’s communication and capacity-development activities, complementing its training programmes, webinars, events, and international collaborations under the framework of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
