CIAPh

Since 2019 the Italian Office of the Année Philologique (Centro Italiano dell’Année Philologique – CIAPh) is operating at the Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies (FICLIT) of the University of Bologna, under the direction of professor Camillo Neri, who has been coordinating the Bologna team since 2001. Established in 1996 by professor Franco Montanari, the CIAPh also includes operational units in the Department of Antiquity, Philosophy and History of the University of Genova and in the Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage of the University of Pavia (Cremona).

Every year, teachers, researchers and scholars help survey the Italian scientific production relating to all aspects of ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, through examination and online indexing of hundreds of periodicals, monographs and miscellanies.

In addition to the CIAPh, the international network of the Année Philologique includes other national editorial offices:
Rédaction française - Université de Lille
American office (Durham, N. C.) - Duke University, Department of Classical Studies
Zweigestelle München - Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Abteilung für griechische und lateinische Philologie
Redacción española - Universidad de Granada, Facultad de Filosofía y Letras
Rédaction suisse - Université de Lausanne

The Editorial Director is Pedro Pablo Fuentes González (University of Granada).

The editorial offices cooperate to create the reference bibliographical repertoire for the study of antiquity, which is published every year by Brepols both in print (L’Année Philologique. Bibliographie critique etanalytique de l’antiquité gréco-latine, fondée par J.Marouzeau, continuée par J. Ernst, Paris, Société Internationale de Bibliographie Classique) and as an online database.
